HCC bags Rs.892 crore contract from NPCIL

Leading infrastructure construction company Nuclear Power Corporation Ltd. bagged contract for civil works for the main plant of Rajasthan Atomic Power Project’s Unit No.7 and No.8 being developed by Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) at the Rawabhata in the state.  The size of contract is Rs. 897.92 crore.

The scope of work includes designing, planning and construction of the nuclear buildings, control building, station auxiliary buildings, fuel storage building etc.  for 2×700 pressurised heavy water reactor (PWHR) .  The HCC will have to complete the work over next four years.

The HCC was also involved in construction of  first six units of Rajasthan Atomic power station and 50 per cent of all the atomic power station in the country, says press released by the company.
